In the summer of 2019, I went to Colombia with a group from church. We spent two weeks with New Hope for Children getting to know the incredible children there and helping them to build their new community building. New Hope for Children takes in children living in extreme poverty in Bogota, Colombia, and provides them with a safe home and an education. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, many of the children have had to return home, to very poor conditions, and cannot attend school. New Hope for Children is currently providing them with food and homework packs so they can continue learning while the schools are shut.
