UPDATE 28/05  We did it !!!  It was great fun, despite the scorching heat, and we completed the marathon in 4 hours 21 minutes.  Thank you all so much for your generous donations.

UPDATE 04/05  Thanks everyone for being so generous - it really is a worthwhile cause.  Our training is going well - we are fitting in as much as we can in between work, rowing and studying and are really looking forward to the run.  Please help us reach our target if you can.

We will be running the Edinburgh Marathon course between us on 23rd May 2010. 

THIS IS NOT FOR FUN - our aim is to raise as much money as possible for PiggyBankKids - a charity which helps change children's lives here in the UK including groundbreaking research into some of the most devestating pregnancy problems and to find better ways to look after premature babies.  Their aim is to make real progress towards resolving some of the life threatening complications that can arise during pregnancy for both mums and babies.  Did you know that every year in the UK nearly 4000 babies are stillborn (that is 1 in 200 babies). Sadly our friends Jenny and Iain's first baby was stillborn in 2003 (they now have 2 lovely girls).  PiggyBankKids is their chosen charity and 16 of us are running and raising money to help this year.
