My story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our PlaneTalking JustGiving page.
After hitting a 'certain age' Karen decided to challenge herself with a ride from John O'Groats to Lands End.
With around 1,000 miles to ride over 2 - 3 weeks in April 2012 the training began BUT in December Karen hit a slight stumbling block. She was diagnosed with a cataract in one eye.
Rather than have the operation and cancel the bike ride she has decided to continue the training, finish the bike ride, raise some money for a worth while cause.... and then go for the surgery!

Devon Air Ambulance Trust raises the funds to keep two emergency Air Ambulances flying in Devon. Independent of Government funding, all of the £4.5 million needed annually to keep both helicopters flying comes from the generosity of the community, businesses and friends of Devon.
