My story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our PlaneTalking JustGiving page.

After hitting a 'certain age' Karen decided to challenge herself with a ride from John O'Groats to Lands End.

With around 1,000 miles to ride over 2 - 3 weeks in April 2012 the training began BUT in December Karen hit a slight stumbling block. She was diagnosed with a cataract in one eye.

Rather than have the operation and cancel the bike ride she has decided to continue the training, finish the bike ride, raise some money for a worth while cause.... and then go for the surgery!

You will be able to follow the trip 'live' through our PlaneTalking Twitter MotoringChat Twitter and VisitEatStay Twitter pages and websites.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.

Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the Devon Air Ambulance Trust and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
