On the rare occasions that Prof needed hospital care, the exemplary surgical skills and nursing care of the Borders General Hospital staff ensured that he could enjoy his latter years on his farm in the Borders.  

During his final stay, the care and compassion of the nurses was second to none and they kept him comfortable until he returned home for his last few days as was his wish.

We therefore thought it only fitting that this would be a fantastic charity to contribute to.
