Story

Purple Hat are raising money for Pancreatic Cancer UK by taking part in the Great South Run on 25 October 2009. Pancreatic cancer is the fifth most common cause of cancer death in the UK, and has the lowest survival rate of all cancers – only ~3% of those diagnosed with the disease survive 5 years or more. Despite this, pancreatic cancer receives only 1% of cancer research funding.

It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with the deadliest common cancer die within three months. That’s why they need and deserve more. More research, more funding, more breakthroughs. More than hope. Together we’ll make that possible.
