This funding page, like every year has been created for everyone who is taking part in this years Push for Prems! 

I'm very very pleased to announce that our 8th Push For Prems is on SUNDAY 16th JULY at 11:00!!! No signing up is required to do this sponsored walk. We will meet outside The Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton and walk to Hove Lagoon, where we will have a picnic and release balloons in memory of those little ones that didn't make it home. This year we are splitting the money half to The Early Birth Association www.earlybirth.co.uk, They are a registered charity that receive donations and buy items ranging from vital lifesaving equipment to clothes and nursery items for Trevor Mann Baby Unit, RSCH, Brighton and PRH Special Care Baby Unit, Haywoods Heath. The other half of money raised will go to SERV! The charity SERV work out of hours delivering urgent donor breast milk and blood to hospitals around Sussex including the Trevor Mann Baby Unit. I stopped counting when we got to 14 blood transfusions with my ex 24 weeker so I know how vital this kind of service is to a prem baby unit. Thank you for all your ongoing support over the years Push for Prems has raised over £60,000 for the Early Birth Association and we have managed with this money to support the baby units in Brighton and Haywoods Heath as well as Ronald McDonald house (a free place for parents with poorly children to stay while they are in hospital) and the Neonatal Ambulance Service. 

Anyone can join the walk, the more the merrier. Please feel free to share this just giving page to your friends and families. Please don't forget any daddy's, uncles, grandads and friends who would like to dress up as nurses on the day please feel free as this helps us massively with the fundraising on the day!! We also kindly ask that everyone doing the walk get their sponsors to donate to this page. As we are splitting the money its much easier to track the fundraising like this and therefore enabling us to split the right amount of money donated correctly.

We are a tiny group of parents that organise Push for Prems after spending months in the Trevor Mann Baby Unit, some of us with little ones weighing just a pound, watching them continue to give our miracles the best life saving treatment. As parents to micro prems we learnt what true fear was and how important it is for additional support to the special care baby units. We will be forever grateful to their care.
