Muzaffarabad the capital of Pakistan administered Kashmir, suffered a debilitating earthquake on Saturday 8 October at 0350 GMT.
The current Earthquake death toll stands at over 72,000 people. Three million people in mountainous regions face a winter of temperatures below freezing with no shelter, where more deaths are likely without aid (www.bbc.co.uk).
The PwC Muslims are supporting the Islamic Relief (www.islamic-relief.org.uk) fundraising effort to assist with the vital humanitarian work needed at this desperate time.
Islamic Relief state: "The prospect of a second wave of death looms over thousands of injured survivors who remain stranded without access to food, shelter, sanitation or health care.
Earthquake survivors in highland areas are being urged to move to lower ground where aid can reach them. Some 250,000 people currently live above the snowline and will be at risk when snow begins to fall.
*£25 can provide food for a family of around 5 people for a month.
*£55 can provide a winterised tent for shelter for around 5 to 7 people.
The PwC Muslims have set a target of £25,000, which is short now by around £4,000. The shortfall can be achieved with a total of around 125 donations of £25 each. The overall target of £25,000 can feed 250 families for 4 months - approx 1,000 people.
Please keep donating at this critical time and hopefully we can collectively make a significant difference.
