March 2011 see the RICS Yorkhshire and Humber Region making a concerted effort to raisie money for two very worthy causes. Martin House Hospice http://www.martinhouse.org.uk and RICS Lionheart http://www.lionheart.org.uk

The Yorkshire and Humber team will form part of a worlwide team walking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu in Peru.

This is a significant challange with Machu Picchu being some 8,000 feet above sea level and the surrounding mountains rising to over 14,500 feet. The highest point of the trek will be aound the 14,000 feet mark, almost half way up Everest !!!

We have set ourselves a high fundraising target of £ 20,000.00 for this trek and to raise this amount we desperately need your help and generosity.
