Story
Hello and thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page to raise money for Refuge.
Well, Emily and I conquered Snowdon in 4 and a half hours yesterday (31/07) - 2.5 hours up and just under 2 hours back down! The estimated time is 6 hours so all that training certainly paid off! It was very tough in places and not much fun once we got past the halfway point as it started raining and after approx 2000ft we were in the low clouds and visibility was very very bad (as you can see from the pics). But we ploughed on, didn't get lost, and made it to the highest point!
Now it's just the sky dive to go on 14th August so there is still time to support this fantastic cause.....
Emily and I picked Refuge as they do fantastic work providing help and support to women and children who have suffered from domestic abuse. It's also a charity that is not as well known as others and benefits greatly from people raising money and awareness (further details can be found by clicking the 'Refuge' link on the left).
Your support is very much appreciated.
Thank you,
Rachel
