On July 6th, I gave birth to Finlay. I don't know anyone else, but for me, the last thing I have ever wanted to do after having a baby is get out of bed in the morning and make my body learn to run again. But at least I have the choice.

Our girls with Rett Syndrome have no choice. Amber could run once. She can't walk now or even stand.Sometimes, I think she would like to be able to get up and walk through an open door on a sunny day.

One day, she will. The thought of that is what will keep me falling bleary eyed out of bed in the mornings. The thought of that is what will keep me running on October 5th.
