Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have chosen to support The Huntington's Disease Association as my father-in-law suffered from it and his father too. As it is a hereditary disorder there is a 50% chance of Jules (my husband) developing it (and potentially our children too).

HD is a terminal, hereditary disorder of the central nervous system with no cure as of yet.  It usually develops in adulthood and can cause a very wide range of symptoms, it affects both men and women. There is ongoing research into treatment and prevention.

The Huntington's Disease Association exists to support people affected by the disease and to provide information and advice to professionals whose task it is to support Huntington's disease families. For more information please visit http://www.hda.org.uk

Please help me to reach my target.
