Story

"WE ARE ALL BETTER THAN WE KNOW, IF ONLY WE CAN BE MADE TO REALISE THIS, WE WILL NEVER BE PREPARED TO SETTLE FOR ANYTHING LESS" Kurt Hahn, Co-founder of The Outward Bound Trust

As part of the DHL UK Foundation, I applied for and was successful in being selected as a volunteer mentor for disadvantaged children aged 13-15 during a weeks programme at an Outward Bound Centre in Wales.

My commitment to this involves raising a minimum of £500 towards their charity which helps to fund young people to achieve their full potential. Without this funding, these children would not have the chance to get involed in an experience that many of us may take for granted.

So, my first challenge towards raising this amount is to take part in my first triathlon !!! The training has now started and I'm looking forward to seeing how I manage the transition between all 3 events..

The event takes place on Sunday 20th September and is organised by The Warwickshire Golf & Country Club so please come along an watch if you fancy some entertainment..!
