Ride High aims to help some of the most troubled children in Milton Keynes, they may be in social services care, be a carer for a parent, be badly bullied, or live in an environment dominated by poverty, drugs or alcohol. Often these children have nothing special in their lives. We try to provide one point of consistency in their lives where, for time they are with us, they are the centre of attention, where they can come and be safe and happy children.

Since starting in April we have seen the most fantastic results with the first group of children who have been captivated by their experiences. They have gone from being a disfunctional, difficult, unsettled group to being a happy team. These are just a few of the comments we have had.

The first year of any business is the most difficult as it tries to get established. I am trying to raise £10,000 to ensure that we can establish Ride High as a permanent fixture in these children's lives.

£10 a Ride High Sweatshirt or 2 T shirts - the children wear them for their sessions, it gives them a sense of belonging

£30 a pair of short riding boots - essential kit

£100 a riding lesson for 6 children

£250 - a trip out for 12 children -  Changing of the Guard from inside the railings at Buckingham Palace and the going to see the Queen's horses in September was an experience never to be forgotten

£1200 - the cost of a child's annual membership
