Autism affects 1 in every 100 children. That means that every week, 115 of the babies born in the UK are likely to go on to receive a diagnosis of autism.

Children with autism have profound difficulties with communication, imagination and social skills. Parents of children with autism are told that education is the only thing proven to unlock the potential of their children, offering them a better future. However there is a dire lack of both professionals with autism-specific training and specialist school places.

TreeHouse exists to transform through education the lives of children with autism and the lives of their families. With your help we can educate children, support parents, train professionals and influence policymakers.

My story

Autism has been a forgotten disability causing isolation and distress for sufferers and their families alike. There is no cure and the causes are unknown. Early diagnosis and help as a child can make all the difference. I am a passionate supporter of Treehouse because they do wonderful work with children with severe Autism. They have led the way in their programme of one to one learning aimed at developing the children’s full potential. Thank you for making a donation to this great charity.
