We support the poor and the needy to make them self-reliant and independent

Story

Assalaamalaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu,

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un (إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعونَ) - Surely we belong to Allah and to Him shall we return.

Our beloved Rahail has returned to Allah swt on 6th October 2022, aged 32. Words cannot describe the devastation it has left in our lives.

Rahail will always be remembered for his amazing smile.

Alhamdulillah, we have partnered up with Save the Mothers Trust, a UK registered charity whose primary aim is to support the poor and needy around the world. We are hoping to raise in excess of £13,600 fund both a Community Water Well (£3,600) and a Masjid (£10,000) as a means of Sadaqah Jariyah for the benefit of our beloved Rahail. Sadaqah in Arabic means ‘charity’, followed by Jariyah which means ‘ongoing’. This is therefore a deed that will be ‘on-going’ and beneficial even after leaving this temporary world, until the day of judgement.

Below are a couple of beautiful hadiths to serve as a gentle reminder for this cause:

1/. The Messenger of Allah (saw) was asked, “Which charity is best?” He replied, “Providing water”’. [Abu Dawud]

&

2/. The Prophet (SAW) said, "Whoever builds a Masjid for Allah swt, Allah swt will build a similar place for him in Jannah." [Bukhari].

Water is a blessing from Allah swt and we often take it for granted. Sadly there are over 771 million people in the world who live without clean water. That is nearly 1 in 10 people worldwide or ten times the population of the UK. The majority live in isolated rural areas and spend hours every day walking to collect water for their family. Not only does walking for water keep children out of school or take up time that parents could be using to earn money, but the water often carries diseases that can make everyone sick. Access to clean water means education, income and health - especially for women and children.

As mentioned, we also aim to have a purpose built masjid constructed on behalf of Rahail. A very remote area, within a poor country will be selected In’Sha’Allah, so that an isolated community who lack a Masjid can have their very own, to facilitate and provide Islamic education to the local community at large, as well as give them a sense of belonging.

Please kindly partake in this noble cause in any way you can, so that our beloved Rahail can benefit from this Sadaqah Jariyah initiative In’Sha’Allah. Whether you donate just £1 or share this fundraiser amongst your network to create further awareness, your reward will be with Allah swt and we (the family and friends of Rahail) will be ever so grateful.

Jazak’Allah Khair
