I am doing a 5k race for path to possibilities (P2P), a charity organisation established in 2009 to fund very talented but poor children in Nigeria through their secondary school education. At tthe moment, the organisation is funding Godspower Nwachuckwu a 12 year old orphan who lives with his teenage sister. He is the first recipient of the P2P scholarship fund. With your assistance, we aim to increase this number considerably in coming years. Due to the current economic crisis in Nigeria, I feel rather furtunate that I am residing in this country: As a working class parent, my children are still able attend good schools that lay  very good foundation for their future.

The same cannot be said for many kids in Nigeria. For those from poor families, they either end up with no form of education, or go to very poor schools.  

This race is therefore my way of giving to the country the little I can. it is my way of building the hopes of talented children in Nigeria, whoes background means they are unable to widen and develop their potentials, it is my way of building a brighter future for the coming generation.

Yes, I know you might be thinking about what this little aid can achieve on the scale of things, but do remember, every little helps: to build a pyramid, we have to start from scratch.
