Update: Due to family and friends' incredible kindness I have almost reached my target, however please bear in mind that every £170 raised will pay for one woman to have the operation to free her from fistula and ALL the money raised goes directly to the project and not to administrative fees. So if more money can be raised then even more women can be saved from this dreadful fate. Thank you x

 

I will be running the Amman Marathon on 17th October and my aim is to raise £1700 for 'Freedom from Fistula Foundation', an organisation which helps women in Africa suffering from obstetric fistula.

"Today, an estimated 2 million women in Africa are suffering from obstetric fistula caused by obstructed childbirth. The efffect on women is devastating and often condemns them to a life of solitude and despair. Our aim is to help women by providing free surgery to repair their fistulas and free healthcare during pregnancy and childbirth."
