As many of you know, 6 months ago Bec and Dee made an ambitious, slightly ridiculous and at times what felt like a plain stupid decision to run a marathon. The day after, brand new trainers were bought and donned and the pair excitedly strode out on their first run only to puff, pant (and walk) 3 miles… 26.2 miles had never felt longer.

However after 6 months of intense training, be it in fine form or a tad worse for wear, in pouring rain or sweltering heat, in far flung places where the locals thought we were mad, on city breaks where the tourists got in the way or on our home streets of London, we remained dedicated and miles were conquered - hurrah!

We are now off to Amsterdam this weekend to run the Marathon in aid of MIND.
1 in 4 of us is likely to suffer a mental illness at some point in our lives and the work that this incredible charity do to help those who need it and their respective families is invaluable. They are making a real difference to the lives of those who suffer from mental illness, at both ground level through community projects and national level by tackling the stigma surrounding it.
