In memory of Alan Lodge
We raise funds for The National Hospital to improve the lives of neurology patients

Story

Thank you for taking a look at our Just Giving page in memory of Alan Lodge.

Alan suffered a very sudden brain hemorrhage on 17th February 2012 and sadly passed away, he was 29 years old.

Instead of flowers in his memory we have asked for donations to be made to The National Brain Appeal, a fantastic charity that raise much needed money to fund advances in Neurology, Neuroimagery and Neurosurgery in the UK.

This charity is particularly close to our hearts because as a family we have experienced a fatal brain hemorrhage, two life saving neurosurgical procedures, regular severe migraines and two Strokes. Alan would without a doubt have wanted to raise money to champion a cause to help families like ours by preventing, diagnosing and curing such neurological defects.

As all who knew him will agree Alan lived his life to the very fullest and everyone will remember him as having a smile on his face. Alan was a highly intelligent journalist, a loving Son, Brother, Grandson and Boyfriend, an awesome friend and was the sunshine of so many lives.

We hope that these donations to The National Brain Appeal might go some way to enable the diagnosis and prevention of such brain hemorrhages so that others will not have to endure the sadness that we are all experiencing at the loss of the one and only Alan Lodge.
