UPDATE
I did it in 3hrs 53 mins :-)
I can't begin to describe how much it hurt (and still does 2 days later) but I'm absolutley over the moon. 5 months of training, all the streets and parks I've pounded, all the cold baths I've endured, all the aches pains and blisters.....it has all been worthwhile.
Thanks so much to those who sponsored me, including the offline money I'm approaching £1,900 raised for Marie Curie. Also big thanks to those who came and supported me on the day, and thanks to Ben for seeing me round the last 6 miles when the going got real tough.
For those that haven't sponsored me yet, please go right ahead.
Thanks everyone.

I had the pleasure of working, and being mates with Ben Chandler for two years. Ben was a very special guy, loveable, honest, selfless and a lot of fun. Ben lost his life to cancer in Sept 08 - aged 20.
I've chosen to raise money for Marie Curie following the brilliant care and support they provided Ben and the Chandler family with. This
will be my second London marathon, this time I want to nail it in less
than 4 hours so I can hang up the Marathon shoes for good (less
than one in 4 achieve a sub-4 hour time). I
am sure Ben will be the little voice on my shoulder saying
"You call that running?!? why don't you try doing it like this.... " as
only Ben could.
£2,000 is a tough target but the recession is
over and Christmas is paid off so please make a generous donation for
this incredibly worthy cause.
The date is Sunday 25th April 2010 - support really does ease the pain so if any of you make it on the day to cheer me on it'd be very much appreciated. I'll be wearing a bright coloured t-shirt (details to follow) with Bens picture, Marie Curie motif etc.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.Thank you.
