Story

As many of you will know, Mum has been battling cancer for the last year and a half. Just when she thought she had beaten it, the ugly disease returned. She put herself through it all and was a fighter right up until the end. Never giving up, never one complaint and always thinking of everyone else around her until the end.

In the last few days of her life she was cared for at St Wilfrid's Hospice. They made the most difficult time in our family's life that bit easier. They gave us all a home away from home in our last moments together at the end of Mum's battle with cancer. We couldn't have given her the same care at home and are thankful for all they did so that we could enjoy every last moment together.

Our family have always had a strong involvement with St Wilfrid's and its fundraising. Never knowing that one day it would play an even bigger role in our lives. We want to continue to support their amazing work and make sure that others continue to receive this care for years to come. Therefore, we ask you to please make a donation in honour of our very special Mummy and Wife.

About the charity

St Wilfrid’s Hospice provides tailored end of life care both in the community and at our Hospice, supporting our patients living with a terminal illness, and their family and friends. We rely on the generous support of our community to raise the £8million we need each year to fund our services.
