Story
Dear All,
Thank you for visiting our fundraising page.
In a moment of madness and a very persuasive friend, Al & I have agreed to take part in an Outdoor Activities Long Weekend (15-18 March) in North Wales, in order to raise money for the remarkable charity, Sense International. It is the only international charity that works exclusively to meet the needs of people who are both deaf and blind in developing countries.
For us, taking part in this adventure will be a real test of determination and stamina as the terrain will be rugged and the activities demanding (scarey!). These will include climbing Mount Snowden (3558 ft), rock climbing, abseiling, zip-wire and white water rafting the grade 4 descents of the River Tryweryn. In addition to the physical & mental challenges we have also agreed to raise at least £550 each for Sense International’s work with deaf blind people and we need your help to reach our target.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Sense International will receive your money faster and, if you are a taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
For those who know me, Renee, well, yes I am still petrified of heights, water, speed and exercise so please make it all worth it and sponsor us now!!
Many thanks for your support.
Alpesh & Renee
