We support Birmingham Children's Hospital to improve the lives of sick children

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

We would like to raise money in memory of our beautiful little girl, Rhianna, who is sadly no longer with us. Rhianna Passed away on Christmas day 2012, aged just 9yrs old. This was due to a severe kidney infection which developed into septicaemia.

Birmingham Children’s Hospital has been a huge part of our lives and supported us through all appointments, operations and tests. There are many children from all over the country who visit them. The need for learning tools, books, toys plus medical equipment is ever growing and the costs are too, which is why we want to help by buying a very important machine.

The Dialysis machine costs vary from one type to another and from one manufacturer to the other but the average price is around £2000

This machine removes waste and excess water from the blood, and is used primarily as an artificial replacement for lost kidney function in people with renal failure.

We want to do this as our way of saying a big thank you for all they have done for us and others alike.

About the charity

It's bewildering and unsettling for anyone going into hospital but especially for children and that is why we are a fundraising hospital. We raise funds to enhance the experience of our patients by providing state of the art medical equipment and facilities and creating a child-friendly environment.
