This year I am running the Great Eastern Run on 11 October to raise money for the national spina bifida and hydrocephalus charity (ASBAH), based here in Peterborough.  I really hope you will find it possible to sponsor me as I want to raise over a £1000 for this really amazing charity that does so much for people with these conditions and for their families.

 I have been chairman of ASBAH for over six years now and know just how important its work is.  The charity helps people with all aspects of living with these conditions – whether it is advising parents who have suddenly found their baby has spina bifida or helping a school understand what to expect, it provides vital services for all concerned.

 This year, in particular, ASBAH, needs our support – the economic downturn hits charities more than most.  We need to show our support now which is why I am going to do my best not only to run  for ASBAH but to fund-raise for ASBAH.
