On October 10th I will be running my 3rd half marathon.  I have never asked for any kind of sponsorship before, but this time I am looking to raise funds to help a little lady who is barely three months old. 

Good friends of mine gave birth to Lilian Cross on 30th June.  Unfortunately baby Lilian has recently been diagnosed as having cystic fibrosis.  As you can imagine this is a very worrying time for everybody concerned and whilst there is no cure at the moment, leading scientists believe they could be close to an effective treatment through gene therapy.  Lung damage is the main problem with 90% CF sufferers and effective gene therapy would stop lung damage from developing.

As an added incentive for you to be generous I am willing to match the entire total raised, which will double the final figure.  I'm sure some of you out there would take great pleasure in seeing me get wholloped for a large sum so please give whatever you can.
