Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit the Barton Willmore JustGiving page.

On 9 May 2010, Tibbsy, The Cockney, Rutty, Fordy, Chadders and Pie will be participating in the Bristol 10k business Challenge.  We have decided to raise money for The Jennifer Trust for Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA).

SMA is a condition that affects the nerves in an area of the spinal cord. These nerve cells become damaged, breaking the link between the brain and the muscles. As a result, the muscles can't be used and become wasted or atrophied.

It is also the biggest genetic killer of infants in the UK with around one in 6,500 babies affected each year. That is about 100 new cases each year.

The Jennifer Trust is the only national charity in the UK dedicated to supporting people affected by SMA, and any donates made to this charity will be invested into essential research into causes, treatments and eventually a cure for the condition.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate.
