Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am running this years Virgin London Marathon to raise funds on behalf of the Guide Dogs charity. I am hoping to raise over £1,500, which if achieved, will make a significant contribution to the breeding, raising and training of new puppies. The provision of a Guide Dog together with the life-long support given by this charity, can make such a huge difference to the life of a blind or partially sighted person.

If my and the other runners' contributions can help just one person to live a full and independent life with the help of one of these amazing animals, all the training in the cold/rain, 5am starts, hurt knees, pulled muscles etc.. will be worth every minute.

Any donation you are able to give, however small, will be massively appreciated and can collectively make a big difference.

Thank you so much for your support!

Right, on that note - I'm off for a run!

Guide Dogs are a charity that breed, raise and train guide dogs helping to enable the blind and partially sighted to get around and live a full life. Guide Dogs:-

• Breed over 1,100 guide dog puppies.

•  Looks after around 8,000 dogs at any one time.

• Provides one-to-one support to thousands of blind and partially-sighted adults and

children to help them become more independent.

• Make a lifetime commitment to provide guide dog owners with a guide dog for as long

as they need one.

The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.
