Story
Hi,
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I am running the London Marathon on the 25th April 2010 and wanted to use the opportunity to raise some money for the Children's Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS), which is a Scottish based charity providing hospice services in Scotland for children and young people with life-limiting conditions. CHAS operates two purpose built hospice facilities; one in Kinross (Rachel House) and the other in Balloch (Robin House), which can each provide ongoing support for up to 200 families each year.
My marathon place was secured through my membership of the Kilmarnock Harriers, so I am not tied to a specific charity nor do I have a donations target that I have to meet; however I think CHAS is a very worthwhile cause as it offers professional care, practical help and emotional support to the whole family when they are faced with the inevitable prospect of losing of a child, which for me is unimaginable! CHAS is almost wholly reliant of charitable donations to meet the annual running costs of Robin House and Rachel House, so any donations no matter how small will be gratefully received.
Thanks in anticipation of your support.
Richard
