Day 1: London to Calais 95 miles
Day 2: Calais to Abbeville 75 miles
Day 3: Abbeville to Beauvais 70 miles
Day 4: Beauvais to Paris 60 miles
For all of you that know me well - I know what you are thinking. There is no way that the Yorkshire Pudding can fit into lycra, never mind cycle from London to Paris. I have to admit I have my own serious doubts. 95 miles on day one already sounds insane. Following it up with a further 205 miles over the next 3 days is beyond this northerner's reasoning. But, a challenge is a challenge and it is all for a great cause!
Great Ormond Steet Hospital provides world class care for childrren. It pioneers new treatments and cures for childhood illness and each year over 170,000 children are treated by the hospital.
So as you can see - this brutal challenge is worth it!
