Story
Every hour of every day one person in the UK is diagnosed with lymphatic cancer.
Unfortunately, our Dad/Uncle Richard, was diagnosed with lymphatic cancer in May 2009. He has undergone continual chemotherapy since then and has now reached the maximum amount his body can take. We're currently waiting for him to get well enough to have stem cell treatment which will help to cure him from this disease. He has been very positive throughout the whole time despite spending a great deal of the last year in and out of various hospital wards including intensive care and the infections ward. (we're not sure if that's to protect him or us!)
You can visit Dad's story at http://www.caringbridge.org/ by searching Richard Jarratt.
We would now like to give something back to the charity who work hard to support those affected by this cancer. Therefore, the five of us will be attempting to climb / stagger / run / crawl up and down the 3 peaks in 24 hours!! It's a big challenge but it will be worth it! (Although we may not think it whilst in the middle of it!) We'll be starting with Ben Nevis at 5pm on Saturday 17th July and your support will be greatly appreciated - both financially and emotionally!?!?
The Lymphoma Association is the only specialist UK charity that provides emotional support and information to anyone with lymphatic cancer and to their families, carers and friends. They have been invaluable to Dad/Uncle Richard since he's been diagnosed and we would like to thank them. To find out more please see http://www.lymphomas.org.uk/
So please please please please dig deep and donate now!!!
Thank you all in advance for your support.
Lots of love,
Sarah, Alan, Rob, Ria and Claire.
