Story

Welcome to my JustGiving Page which is my first request for sponsorship since I did a spelling test aged 8, so those of you I have sponsored since then, I trust you will return the gesture.

On Sunday 19 September, I am running the Great North Run in a team of 6 from Leonard Curtis, who are my business partner in Visibility.

For those unaware, the Great North Run is a half marathon or distance of 13.1 miles and despite my trim figure, I can assure you I have never run that far before!

Our chosen charity is St Gemma's Hospice, who provide specialist medical and nursing care for people with life threatening illnesses, predominantly cancer, along with support for their families.  All their services are free of charge and St Gemma's rely solely on money raised from events such as this.  Your donation therefore will make a difference.  We have chosen this charity because the Mum of one of our team sadly passed away in the hospice recently.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

The event will be a great experience fo me personally but please make it even more worthwhile by donating to allow me raise the £750 target I have set myself.  Thank you so much.  Richard
