We help people with Down’s Syndrome to reach their fullest potential

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

My youngest son, Matthew, was born in August 2009 and has Down's syndrome. He is a fantastic wee lad, who already dotes on his big brother Adam, and is currently eating us out of house and home! He also brings so much joy to our lives with his big smile and cheeky personality. We hope by raising money, this will allow children like Matthew to flourish, and enjoy a wonderful and fulfilled life.  We (Richie Davie & myself) are hoping to raise as much money as possible for Down's Syndrome Scotland, who help people with Down’s syndrome reach their full potential by providing information and support to them, their families, carers and professionals.

On 9th/10th July, we are aiming to climb the three highest peaks, respectively, in Scotland, England and Wales, within 24 hours. The Peaks are:

  • Ben Nevis in Scotland (1344m) Scafell Pike in England (978m) Snowdon in Wales (1085m).
  • I'd like to say a big thank you to Richie, for agreeing to do this with me, and for all his help in planning this challenge, and for being a very understanding and supportive boss.

Thanks,Colin
