We pioneer life-saving cancer research to help us beat cancer
Story
Three years ago I ran my first London marathon and now at 53 I have found a reason to do so again. Not only is the 26.2 mile course near enough half of my age but as the years go by I can't help but notice how in some way, no matter to what degree, Cancer touches most of our lives. Cancer, cardiovascular disease, respiratory diseases and diabetes are the four biggest threats to human health today, causing 36 million deaths globally each year. The Francis Crick Institute, the largest biomedical research centre in Europe, will open in King’s Cross, London, in April 2015. It will work to find cures for some of the world’s most life-threatening diseases. By partaking in the London Marathon we are helping to fund this research. Please support me and the Team from Ted raise well in excess of our first target £35,000 and run past the £50,000hurdle and beyond and together we can all contribute to finding a cure for cancer. Many thanks Ricky x
