·         Peloton mix: Dumisani, Tomasz, Paul R and Steve;

·         Cycling time: 6 hours at circa 10.5mph – give and take a little;

·         Elevation gain: 3000ft

·         Max HR: 173bpm – Dumi walking the “bike”;

·         Incidents: Only 2 -

1.       Jockey between the spokes, which snapped 2 of them. After some mending and bending, Tomasz was able to continue with automated random gear selection;

2.       As forecasted - GPS Navigation is great to have but even better when followed. The culprit will not be named.

The BIA Risk Team will be embarking on a 105km cycle from London to Brighton on the 28th of April, in support of the Child Brain Injury Trust (www.childbraininjurytrust.org.uk) . The Trust was set up in 1991 to research and provide information regarding the effects of traumatic injury on a child’s developing brain. The Trust focuses on supporting families, at times through periods of great crisis and tragedy, and also make sure they have access to local services to meet their support needs.

We will set out from the Hilton at London Bridge at 9am, and the route will include 2 comfort stops (coffee at the 1st and a beer at the 2nd for the brave!), with a late lunch in Brighton on the beach before catching the train back to London. Steve will lead the pack with his Sat Nav (hope we don’t get lost!) using the official London to Brighton cycle route. If you’d like to make a donation in support this very worthy cause, please use the following link: http://www.justgiving.com/RiskAuditTeam

Starring: Steve, Dumisani, Anish, Tomasz, Salman, Carol; If anyone else is keen to join the cast, please R.S.V.P
