Call it a midlife crisis, call it madness, call it what you will, but I'm running the Brathay Windermere Marathon in May and need your help to raise enough money to justify my place in the race. Not to mention help an excellent charity continue giving vulnerable young people the chance to develop the skills, confidence and motivation to make positive choices in their lives, in a wonderful setting.

When I were a lad, sport came easy to me. Now, I'm just a poor player, that struts and frets his hour upon the stage. And my hour is 11:00, Sunday 16th May. If you can spare a few shekels, give me an incentive to carry on with these 16+ miles training runs on Sunday mornings. Believe me, I'd rather be in bed with the paper and a FEB. (Fried egg bap.)
