Story

 Race Report: 200 miles - 5 days - 2 feet

Running up to 40 miles a day for 5 days over mountainous terrain was hard work, and quite a shock for some of the competitors - many of whom had possibly misinterpreted the advertising for the race as the "toughest ultra marathon in the world". Of the 91 who started, only 35 completed the first day, and only 28 finished the entire course.

I was pleased to be in the list of finishers, but more pleased to raise over my target for The Afghanistan Trust.

I would like to thank everyone who has donated to the trust and supported me in completing the race.

About the charity

The Afghanistan Trust gives assistance to soldiers of The Parachute Regiment who were wounded in action, or the dependants of those killed in action in Afghanistan. It achieves this through financial and welfare support. It also sustains the memories of the loss of life and sacrifices made
