Screwball Rally · 26 September 2013

Over 150,000 of us in the UK have MS. It’s unpredictable and different for everyone. But it doesn’t have to be this way. We’re the MS Society. We understand what life’s like with MS. We're here for you through the highs, lows and everything in between. Together, we are strong enough to stop MS.

Hi,

I’m Rob a 31 year old guitar teacher. My Father and I will be taking part in the Screwball Rally event which runs from Thursday 26 September to Monday 30 September 2013.  This is a charity rally across parts of Europe which will cover a minimum of 1720 miles.  We will be raising money for the MS society which is the largest Multiple Sclerosis charity in the UK.

To take part in this rally, we have to buy a car for less than £750.  We have chosen a 12 year old V.W. Sharan, which has already covered 214,000 miles, so we figure that a couple of thousand more won’t hurt.  We have yet to decide on a theme to decorate it and sticker it up – any suggestions which are printable would be welcome.

Since my diagnosis in 2011 I have received help from my health care team for this neurological condition and I would like to do my bit for charity and to give something back.  Any help is greatly appreciated.

Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a condition of the central nervous system. In MS, the coating around the nerve fibres (myelin) is damaged, causing a range of symptoms.

Around 100,000 people suffer from MS in the UK.  The MS Society is the UK's largest charity for people affected by Multiple Sclerosis.  The MS Society funds research, provides grants and runs respite care centres, as well as publishing numerous publications on MS and running a freephone specialist helpline.

JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Thank you!

Rob
