Event: Chartered Surveyors Charitable Trust Fund - Charity Abseil Event, on 9 September 2010

Story

Have you ever wanted to see a lawyer dangling 200 feet in the air suspended by an 11mm diameter rope?

Well you missed your chance on Thursday 9th September 2010 at the London International Press Centre at 76 Shoe Lane London EC4, when I joined the Chartered Surveyors' Livery Company's charity abseiling team.

Thank you to everyone who sponsored me. But it's still not too late ... funds raised will be spent in a good cause. Examples of charities supported in recent years include the Treloar Trust for disabled children, the Jubilee Sailing Trust and the Christchurch Youth & Community Centre at Spitalfields. Funds are also donated to the Company's “adopted” schools in connection with the schools' sponsorship scheme. For details please see

About the charity

We support external charities chosen by the Company's Charitable Board for the relief of poverty, advancement of education, awarding prizes and the establishment of libraries and other facilities for the members of the surveying profession or other recognised profession. It also supports the Lord Mayor's nominated charities. Funds are also raised from the annual Inter-Livery Swimathon.
