We support the Simpson Neonatal Unit to provide the best possible care to babies

Story

My son Elliot McPhee was born at 25 weeks gestation in October 2020 at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh and was taken to the Simpsons Neonatal Unit where he spent 18 weeks being cared for. We wish to fundraise for Simpsons Special Care Babies who are raising funds for specialist equipment, research or specialist staff training all to save future tiny little lives. 

Helen McPhee (Elliots granny) is hosting a coffee morning (see below for details) to raise funds, but we have opened this Justgiving page for people that want to make an online donation or want to donate but cannot make the coffee morning.

Simpsons Special Care Babies (SSCB) is a small volunteer-run charity based in Edinburgh and dedicated to the care of premature or sick newborn babies in the Simpson Neonatal Unit at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh Most of our trustees have had a child (or children) looked after in the Unit
