Across the world many, many people suffer from Alzheimer's disease. It is a horrible affliction which takes away from a person their memories, their ability to think for themselves, and eventually strips them of their identity. I also know from personal experience the devastating effect it can have on family and friends.

The Alzheimer's Society funds research into the causes of Alzheimer's with the ultimate aim of finding a cure. They also provide invaluable help to both sufferers and to relatives and helpers of sufferers. To support them I am hoping to raise money by running the Dublin Marathon on 26th October.
