Story

Hi All,

On the 8th of July, I will be joining a team of 41 riders to cycle stage 8 of the 2016 Tour de France. We will be starting in riding 148km in one day, climbing four punishing mountains, including the iconic Col Di Tourmalet. We are starting in Lourdes and finishing in Bagneres -de-Luchon.

I am cycling in aid of The Irish Cancer Society who do incredible work for those fighting cancer in Ireland.

Prior to signing up to this gruelling challenge, I had very little experience in the saddle, in fact the last bike I owned (a Smokey Bear), I bought with my Confirmation Money to cycle to and from School. That was a long time ago, so in preparation for this immense challenge, I invested in a new bike last March and we have grown very close over the past few months !

This is a great cause and well worth any blood, sweat and tear on my part.

If you can, any and all donations are greatly appreciated.

Many thanks,

Rory.
