Story
Thanks to Everyone who donated or sent messages of support. I'm delighted to announce that I completed the ride on September 7th with quite a few aches and pains and 1043 miles and 51000 feet of ascent finished . I've added some photos from the start and finish as evidence, and for a full slideshow of me and the other team members who took part there is a gallery here.

In August and September this year I'll be riding from Lands End to John O'Groats. Its nearly 1500 kilometers and I'll be doing it in 10 days.
As well as cycling 1500 kms I want to raise £1500 for Macmillan Cancer Support. Its a sobering fact that one in three of us will get cancer and last December 23rd it claimed my Dad, Bob. Now I want to do what I can to help in the fight and make sure the care and support that my family received is available for everyone who needs it. Memories of my Dad and the team of people who helped him and my family are a huge motivation for me as I'm training for this event and I know they will be later in the year when I'm going uphill into the wind and rain and I've still got 90 miles to go on the day...
Having tugged at the heartstrings a little I've now got to make a pitch for your money so here goes
If you would normally sponsor someone a fiver, a tenner or maybe even twenty quid for doing an endurance event then please consider that I'm doing 10 endurance events in 10 days and see if you can dig deep and find an extra couple of quid for this amazing organisation. Having said that, dont let my pleas for big donations put you off giving whatever you can afford, I am truly grateful for any support you can give to help me achieve my target.
Thanks
Ross
