Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am doing the 50km cycle for life for Farleigh Hospice in memory of my Mother in Law, Ronnie, who passed away in March 2009 after a long battle with cancer.
She was diagnosed with a brain tumour in March 2006 aged 57. Treatment commenced, surgery/radiotherapy/chemotherapy, and she smiled and maintained her sense of humour throughout. Even after losing her eyesight 6-8 months into the treatment she kep't smiling, nothing seemed able to keep this woman down!!!
Ronnie attended Farleigh Hospice day care once a week and loved every minute of it, she always come home with a tale to tell. Both Ronnie and my Father in Law (Brian) enjoyed evenings at Farleigh, food, wine and entertainment, just what the doctor ordered, for the pair of them!!! Ronnie was also able to have respite care at Farleigh, this enabled Ronnie to be assessed and ensure that all her symptoms were controlled and enabled Brian to have a break.
All this at Farleigh and not a penny to pay, so as a thank you to them I want to raise as much money as possible for their charity, so come on, dig deep and donate!!!!!!
Thank you
