This November I shall be doing a 'Sprint Triathlon' at the 2009 European Triathlon Cup, held in Eilat.

I’ll be doing... 

a 750m swim through the Red Sea

a 20km cycle through the Eilat Negev Desert &

a 5km run (or, by that time - crawl) through the city of Eilat.

Kisharon is well known in North-West London for its outstanding work for children with learning disabilities, many of them severe. It is an organisation that helps local children and their families who would be unable to cope otherwise. Kisharon started as a school over 30 years ago but has developed into a comprehensive organisation providing services that cover toddlers through to adults. Our responsibility to them does not reduce as they grow beyond school age and therefore Kisharon runs an adult college, provides structured employment, supported living and a residential home.

Kisharon have recently struggled with their financial position. Each year their deficit increases and this something we can do to help. In the current financial environment I appreciate how difficult it is to meet all the charitable calls made on you but ask you to support Kisharon to enable it to continue with its work. It is unthinkable to imagine Kisharon closing some of its vital services and the devastation that would cause to this vulnerable sector of the community.
