Hi everyone!

I have volunteered to become a Destination Dreams volunteer, to take a group of 25 children with life threatening illnesses and their families to Disneyland, Florida for a holiday of a lifetime for them. This is a fantastic opportunity to create lasting memories for the children and their families and will enable them to live their dreams.

I will be providing support for families during their stay in America, working as part of a team ensuring the families needs are met.

25,000 children are fighting a life threatening condition at any one time.

104 children die each week from a childhood illness.

Every 24 hours, 10 children are diagnosed with leukemia or cancer.

Sadly, 5,000 children die each year from a chronic illness.

This opportunity aims to provide a holiday of a lifetime, creating the chance to leave behind the clinical environments and numerous treatments, hospital appointments and overwhelming stress and pressures after a diagnosis of a life limiting illness.
