Dear All, 

It was over two years ago now that Joe and I suffered a most difficult and sad event, when we lost our baby at 25 weeks due to the fatal chromosome disorder Trisomy-9.

ARC are the charity who helped me through the hardest days, and provide support to thousands of women who have nowhere else to turn in their time of crisis.  While we are very lucky to have the NHS, the specialist knowlege of antenatal testing and the emotional support provided by ARC are very much needed too! 

Inspired by another user of the web forum that arc runs for bereaved mums, I've decided to do a 5km run to raise some money for ARC. Everyone who knows me will know how unusual it is to see me in lycra, and as I've spent a lot of time on the computer recently it's going to be a bit of a challenge for me to get fit... 

Here's hoping that this will go towards helping other women in the same situation.
