We’re the UK’s leading charity for Crohn’s and Colitis. Right now, over 500,000 people in the UK are living with a lifelong disease that many people have never heard of. We’re working to improve diagnosis and treatment; to fund research and to raise awareness.

Story

Crohn's and Colitis are Inflammatory Bowel Diseases which last a lifetime and for which there is no known cure.  They can strike at any age but most commonly begin in young people.  Around 240,000 people in the UK have these conditions and more are diagnosed each year.

Symptoms can include relentless diarrhoea, severe pain, exhaustion and - in children - impaired growth.  The impact on education, work, social and family life can be devastating.

Although not personally affected by these conditions, I have seen, through working with the charity, how badly it can affect people.  I have met some truly inspirational people over the last 12 months so I wish to take part in the Royal Parks Half Marathon to raise as much money and awareness as I can for them.

No donation is too small!  Thank you.
