Story

Did you know to train and equip a search dog team for a single year can cost between £4000 and £5000

This goes towards vital safety equipment such as a dog helicopter harness and handler avalanche transceiver, protective equipment such as jackets for dog and handler and much, much more.

Sally Morley (one of our "bodies") has given us the opportunity to raffle a week’s accommodation in the fabulous Blacksmiths Cottage in the village of Badachro, near Gairloch. The winner gets to choose a week of their choice in 2020 (availability dependent), to stay in this truly "get away from it all location".

The cottage sleeps 4 in a double and twin room and has amazing sea views. The local Inn is only 4 mins 50 secs away (for the reasonably fit) and the area offers beaches, fishing, boating, golf and of course superb walking.

Dogs are welcome, but more than 1 will require negotiation with the cottage owner.
