Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page as I help Surrey Search and Rescue raise some valuable funds to purchase some essential equipment.

I've been a member of the unit since May 2011 and qualified as a Search Technician in November 2011. All of the unit members give up their time freely and each of the 30 or so qualified members (and further 15 in training) attend a magnitude of events, training and also incidents throughout the South of England.

I'm taking part in the Great North Swim as I like to continually challenge myself and where better to do it than in one of the most beautiful parts of the United Kingdom. Outdoor swimming is a great honour and I am looking forward to the excitement of the day.

In addition tio doing the great North Swim I will also be doing a 13 mile hike across the 3 largest peaks in surrey with other members of the unit.

Many thanks for your donation on behalf of both myself and also Surrey Search and Rescue.
