Story
Hi,
This November (3th-16th) I will be tackling a trek in the Sahara in order to raise money for the Live Life Then Give Life (LLTGL) Charity. Through their work they aim to save and improve lives of those people who are in need of an organ or tissue transplant.
Having followed some of the people involved with LLTGL through the last 4 months of 2009 it made me aware of how much it can mean to the people who do receive organ transplants - and also the cost for those people who are unfortunate enough not to due to the lack of donors. As a result I felt compelled to attempt to raise some money and awareness among the people that I can so that they can try to help save more peoples lives.
I'm aiming to raise a total of £2000 before the start of the trek in November and there are a number of way's you can help in achieving this goal.
- You can donate here, through this Just Giving page, if you do please remember to sign for Gift Aid if your eligible - it doesn't cost you anything and allows the Charity to claim around 28% more for your donation.
- If you have any old Mobile Phone's, you can donate these and through Envirofone I will recycle them and donate the funds to this fund raising effort (Unfortunately we can't claim Gift Aid on that). Email me alex@trek2010.org.uk for information on doing this.
- If you can't donate, why not forward this page to people you know or re-tweet it on Twitter?
For every donation that is made I will donate a fixed sum myself, you can find more information about this on my Trek 2010 website - http://trek2010.org.uk/2010/01/when-you-donate-i-donate/
You can find out more information about Live Life Then Give Life at www.lltgl.org.uk
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
